The film is reflective - reducing glare from the sun and reflecting heat. Your room will be kept cooler in the summer and warmer in the winter. It also gives excellent privacy, acting as a mirror when viewed from outside during the day. At night this effect will be reversed so people will be able to see through the window easier.
